"Get off my plane..."
Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman star in Air Force One an action packed
movie directed by Wolfgang Petersen.
The President of the United States has just helped Russia capture the
Khazakstan dictator, General Radek, who was planning to rebuild the
former Soviet Union. He is now is custody and President James Marshall
has announced that he will not negotiate with terrorists. Now, on his
return flight home, Radek loyalists board Air Force One and with the
help of a traitor Secret Service agent, hijack the President's plane.
Quickly, the agents on board tell President Marshall to get in the escape
pod, which is released, just as the terrorists get to that area. Now,
the terrorists contact Vice President Kathryn Bennett (Glenn Close)
at the White House and attempt to force her to give in to their demands,
who first wants to make sure of the President's safety. Ivan Korshunov
(Oldman) and the rest of the terrorists become impatient and begin executing
hostages. The President's wife and daughter are still on the plane,
the terrorists have Air Force One's weapons, and the Vice President
has just learned that the President's escape pod was found empty...
Air Force One is full of action, with a President that is extremely
skilled in military moves and tactics, and everyone in the movie does
anything to survive. I've seen Air Force One many times and the action
is what keeps me watching it. When you see this movie, you'll love it
too.
